Dogwood Flower all Open

Posted on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 6:33 pm

After 2 days of rain we had a bit of sun yesterday evening.  The dogwood tree really opened up.  It is too bad that it is being dwarfed by a neighbors maple tree.  This shot again is taken with the A100 and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 combo.

Newport Bridge on a Dull Day

What a dull day to be in such a beautiful spot.  We had to go to the island for a children’s birthday party.   I decided to grab  a quick shot of the bridge from Fort Adams State Park. This is the best I could pull out.  The shot is taken with the A100 and Sigma 24-70mm.

More Shots from the Yard

It was another beautiful day for taking shots and working on my technique. I was quite happy with how these shots came out. All shots were taken with the A100 and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8

A New Beginning

I have decided to take the plunge and switch over from my Blogger page.  I have grown a bit in my photography hobby over the last year and want to make a serious commitment.  Switching to WordPress allows me to have more control of my sites format and is easier for those who would like to comment.

I was really happy with the results from my recent trip to New York City and hope to have more excursions like that to work on my technique.  Also, spring is here and as you can tell from my last few post, I am taking advantage of some good weather and the beautiful flowers and trees around the yard.  The bees have been quite pesky, but that is part of the fun.

A Couple More Tulip Shots

I am really taking advantage of the blooms while they last. Again, both are taken with the A100 and Sigma 24-70mm.
