Our Nearest Neighbor

A couple of shots from last night.  The first was taken with the A100 and Sigma 24-70mm combo, while the second was taken with my Orion ED80 refractor telescope and the A100.  I have not been under the stars in a while and have been itching to shoot the moon.  Looks like it came out well.

Please click through the photos for larger versions as well as for any exif information.

This one also has Jupiter in the mix. Currently it is the second brightest object in the sky for us Northern Hemisphere folks.

Lily in the Garden

We have this one plant that has grown to nearly 6 feet tall.  It is quite the site.  I barely had to crouch to take this shot.  It is with the Sigma 24-70mm mounted on the Sony A100.  Please click-through for a larger view and more detail.

Happy Independence Day

Had to get dirty for this shot, but it came out great.  We ended up using it a part of the return address labels for our little girl’s birthday invites. She is a July 4th baby.

Taken with the Sony A100 and Sigma 24-70 f/2.8

70mm, f/25, ISO 200, 1/160 sec
